The Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation: More than 40 years of commitment and impact

The Foundation has over 40 years of uninterrupted work in Guatemala and Honduras, driven by the commitment of the founding families, CMI, strategic partners, and its employees.

Established in 1985, the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation is a family-led corporate foundation focused on addressing root causes through comprehensive, replicable, and self-sustaining programs in education, health, child welfare, and entrepreneurship. It upholds and promotes the ideals of solidarity and community service embodied by don Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, founder of CMI – Corporación Multi Inversiones – who remains an example of commitment, hard work, and purpose for his family and the communities fortunate enough to have known him.

The Foundation is the social arm of CMI, a multi-Latin family corporation with over 105 years of history creating economic, social, and environmental value in the region. With more than 50,000 employees and operations in 15 countries across Latin America and the United States, CMI operates through two main groups: CMI Foods and CMI Capital. The corporation creates sustainable impact in the communities where it operates by delivering high-quality products and services, positioning it as one of the leading business groups in Latin America.
