Its corporate purpose is inclusive, inspiring and legitimate.
CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, is convinced that a purposeful business is one that responds to its raison d’être and to be in the world. It is the corporation that recognizes why it does what it does by responding to challenges and its stakeholder audiences, including its visions in the decisions it makes and seeking to become stronger with time. It is the corporation that connects purpose with its operational and business model.
For several months now, CMI has been reshaping its corporate purpose through a process of rigorous introspection, realizing that it needs to be cross-cutting, inclusive, inspiring and legitimate, as well as able to become a tool to harmonize already existing corporate strengths.
People’s wellbeing is the fundamental pillar at CMI
“Our purpose is to create life-changing opportunities with family warmth. This is inspired by our history and what we are, and is supported by our Somos CMI culture model and our REIR Values (Responsibility, Excellence, Integrity and Respect).
We build from the bottom up, involving all our workers, business areas and, above all, taking into account existing strengths, linked to and included in the new approach,” explains José González-Campo, Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability. The REIR Values are a legacy that its founder Juan Bautista Gutiérrez cemented in his corporation when he began the business history.
“We are proud that the warmth of a family business has been present since 1920. CMI’s actions are modeled on the REIR Values: Responsibility in our manufacturing and production practices, towards our clients and workers; Excellence in the way we operate; Integrity in our business and with our partners and alliances; and Respect for the world we live in, the cultures, governments and clients, respect for people and agreements,” says González-Campo.
