This Guatemalan company was founded five years ago and thanks to the hard work of its team, it currently continues its growth path, as a source of employment for several people, offering nachos and tostadas of excellent quality and flavor.

Cesáreo Fonseca knew that to make excellent-tasting nachos and tostadas, he needed the best quality raw materials. In the process of looking for information about this line of business, in 2019 a friend recommended that he look for Del Comal and Nixtamasa flours for his products. These are part of the CMI Foods portfolio, and that was how a close relationship began that over time has been consolidated and has allowed him to strengthen his company thanks to the advice and support he has received from CMI.

Recently, and as part of its innovation strategy, CMI Foods presented the new family of Del Comal ‘nixtamalized’ (processed) corn flours, born from the brand’s vision to be a benchmark in different solutions and transformation processes for white and yellow corn flours.

According to Fonseca, entrepreneurship requires patience, perseverance and diligence. It involves understanding that everything takes a process and time and that you must know what you are doing to expect the effort to bear fruit. As their slogan says, La Ponderosa continues to move “upward” and they do not doubt that they will advance even further and in the future they will be able to be a source of employment for more people.
